Professor Arnold Ehret founded The Club at the turn of the century. His goal was to spread his teachings about diet, fasting and other health issues to people who were ill, not being cured or having their heath improve by the "accepted treatments." He developed his program of proper foods, special diets and fasting over many years by treating himself and others with his methods.

When Professor Ehret died in 1922 his associate and pupil, Fred Hirsch continued Ehret's life work. Fred maintained The Club, continued to publish two of Professor Ehret's books, The Mucusless Diet Healing system and Rational Fasting and continued to make and sell Innerclean: Professor Ehret's colon cleansing formula.

It can be seen in suburban New York City and at various times some material will be available in other parts of the United States and in other countries. Certain items are available for study. An appointment is required.

• Receive a quarterly newsletter with a Club Member section that will help Club Members share experiences with each other, facilitate correspondence with other Ehretists, print Club Member's recipes, provide news on meetings and affairs, print timely articles by respected people in the health movement, offer free announcements for noncommercial material and provide a central point for Ehretists to exchange information.

• Free access to all previous quarterly html newsletters since 2001.

• Free downloads of all PDF newletters since 2004. These are professionally typeset with full color pictures and charts designed for printing from your computer.

• Provide Club Member lists only to current Club Members for noncommercial use and only if the Club Member would like to be on the list. The Ehret Health Club does not sell, lend or otherwise divulge Club Member information to anyone or any organization.

• Receive a book at no charge with new membership.

• Know that you are not only helping yourself by following a healthy lifestyle, you are also taking part in the spreading of Professor Ehret's teachings.

• The Ehret Club Chat Room. Use the Club Chat Room to communicate real time with other members.
  
  
• The Ehret Club Bulletin Board. When you join, in addition to the quarterly login and password numbers, you choose your own unique login name and password. Your login name and password will associate your email and other information with your postings if you wish. The Club Bulletin Board will "remember" your information for you so you don't have to type it in again when you return.
  
  The Club Bulletin Board is a good way to get a dialogue going with other members and to ask questions of other Ehretists. The Club Bulletin Board is very popular.
